Our website is designed to make information readily available to you, at your convenience. As you can see on our links, league information, field locations, and more are available at your fingertips. We hope you find it worth your time to navigate throughout our site.
COVID-19 Return To Play Protocol
It is the Defiance Baseball Association's responsibility to prioritize the health and well-being of our players, coaches, and spectators while also following the local, state, and federal mandates.
BEFORE COMING TO THE PARK
You are required to assess your status each day prior to coming to the Park:
Have you traveled by air, internationally or been on a cruise in the last 14 days?
Have you had contact with a diagnosed COVID-19 patient in the last 14 days?
Do you currently have fever, chills, cough, difficulty breathing, headache, sore throat, muscle/joint aches, diarrhea, abdominal cramps or nausea, conjunctivitis (pink eye), loss of taste or smell?
Do you have a temperature of 100 degrees or more?
If you answered yes to any of the above, DO NOT REPORT TO THE FIELD. Notify your coach of your absence. If you begin experiencing symptoms while playing, please report immediately to one of the coaches.
You will be required to comply with the following protective measures:
Maintain a physical distance of six feet (two meters) from other people, when possible.
Sanitize your hands.
Wear face covering when not in the field of play, in dugouts, or as a spectator.
Answer a simple COVID-19 questionnaire.
No-touch rule – players should refrain from high fives, handshake lines, and other physical contacts with teammates, opposing players, coaches, umpires, and fans. A “tip the cap” can be used following the game in lieu of the handshake line.
Spectators must stay 6 feet or more away from the backstop.
No spitting or eating seeds, gum, other similar products.
We need everyone to wear a face-covering so we can protect each other – “You wearing the face-covering is protecting me; my wearing of a face-covering is protecting you in case I sneeze or cough.”
GOOD HEALTH PRACTICES
In conjunction with the guidelines above, hand washing or hand sanitizing, in the absence of soap and water, are strongly recommended for athletes/spectators during the games. Athletes should bring individual water containers.
Whenever possible, equipment and personal items should have proper separation and should not be shared. If equipment must be shared, proper sanitation should be administered between users.
The "drive-thru" registration will be at the K of C parking lot for 2 days between the hours of 5-7. Payments can be made that day or prior to the season starting.
Online registration can be completed, effective Thursday, February 28th, 2020. If you choose to register online, you will not need to register in person. Upon completion of registering online, the league president or coach will be in contact with you regarding payment, team selection, practices, and more.
